Richmond’s four emergencies for the Round 18 clash with the Saints are Jacob Townsend, Liam Baker, Ryan Garthwaite and Tyson Stengle.

If he has a bad game (like C. Ellis or Bolton) I wonder if he will be dropped straight away.

No sure they have the balance right. Our game revolves around forward pre sure but the have not replaced the forward with another. Maybe they think they they do need it against StKilda, we shall see.

Stengle should have been included in the team.

I think they went for balance in the side.We were a midfielder short last week and including Ellis and Bolton contributions poor.Higgins or Titch may play forward.Fast track eithad and Kmac and Menadue give us pace and grunt.

Yep, Higgins will play more forward (replacing Bolton) with George and Rioli. You don't really need an old school CHF at Etihad so with Jack & Moore as the tall targets, Caddy will be able to spend more time in the midfield rotation. Alternatively, Moore and Caddy play deep leading out from the square while Jack plays high.

Brandon will move from defence into the midfield rotation (replacing Corey Ellis) with Broad back. McIntosh and/or Menadue to sweep off HB and the wings effectively replacing Houli. So all up our basic team structure will remain the same despite a change and rotation in personnel.

So it seems the club and the coach know what they are doing.
