One big year for 5 players

Schulz

Shown plenty potential in prior years, and this is his year to finally live up to his potential and make a mark on the AFL!

Raines

After 2 years developing at the Burgers and a highly impressive preseason, Raines is ready to step up and become a regular member of out team. Smokey for the Rising Star is my tip  :thumbsup

Patrick Bowden

IMO, had the potential to be a star at the Dogs, but a terrible season last year saw him gain many detractors. Reunited with his brother and previous mentor he looks set to have a huge year

Tambling

Last year we saw glimpses of his talent. Persistent hamstring injuries restricted him. But this year, he looks fit and healthy and set for a year to show why he was a no. 4 pick.

Pattison

Has been earmarked for a big year. We desperatly need a permanent CHF and IMO Patto looks the goods to hold down that position this year.

Agree with your first 4 bluey and would add Simmo in that group of having a big year in 2006. Simmo's now far more mobile.

As for Patto - based on his game for Coburg yesterday he really struggled to present himself at CHF even with the crap delivery. Whether he needs more time to develop as a tall in that position is arguable but I don't see him this year holding down CHF for us. He's much more comfortable in the ruck.

Tambling and Patto are in their second year and i have my own rule on promising juniors to not expect them to come on until year 4. This is when they should begin to break free from the 'potential' tag and start to show something until then they're only fullfilling their apprenticeship duties.

This even applies to Lids.

Played less than 10 games Julz and isn't too old so he qualifies :thumbsup
