For heavens sake, Ninth Melbourne, what ever you proffer could never be taken seriously.

Riewoldt says Tigers relishing Hawks showdown

Richmond Tigers’ Jack Riewoldt has said the premiers are not getting ahead of themselves and are simply looking forward to their qualifying final against Hawthorn.

Sheesh we've got Nick Riewoldt now comparing us to his failed 2009 St Kilda  :lol.

I must have missed where you were reigning premiers, Nick! :nope

-----------------------------------------

I see a bit of the 2009 St Kilda side in Richmond.

We finished the home-and-away season that year 20-2 and had such a great confidence in each other.

We had the St Kilda bubble, so we were all focused on what we needed to do.

The game plan was clear: execute our roles and believe that it will get us the result or at least give us the best possible chance.

If they’re like us, the Tigers will go into this finals campaign simply excited after losing only four games this year.

It’s an awesome feeling. We’d been smashed the year before in a preliminary final by the eventual premiers, Hawthorn, and went into the 2009 finals campaign thinking, ‘This was it’.

The difference between us and the Tigers is that while we finished on top of the ladder, Geelong was a bloody good side and a clear contender.

Tomorrow night can’t come quick enough.

The Tigers qualified one-out at the top. I reckon it’s their premiership to lose.
