* Prelim Final against Collingwood and the loss to the Eagles earlier in the year showed it was Jack Riewoldt or bust up forward for Richmond (against the top 4 sides). Jack kicking 5 goals out of 9 is unhealthy.

* Never was a fan of using Grigg in the ruck but Richmond had got away with it. However, Grundy just smashed the ball as far away from the stoppage as possible and that took Dusty and the Tiger midfield out of the game. Nankervis also isn't in the class of a Gawn or Grundy. Grundy just smashed him. Interesting to see if they go after a Ceglar or Preuss in the trade period. If he hadn't just re-signed with Essendon, Shaun McKernan would've been a perfect fit for Richmond. Josh Jenkins would be another but as we saw when he re-signed last year he would cost too much.

* Barrett asked Lloyd if Richmond needs to play two rucks next year and Lloyd said yes. Tom Lynch could help out in the ruck but that's not what you really want.

We need an upgrade on Soldo to cover any injury to Nankervis , we dont need to play two in games, we just need play another athletic tall utilty type like Balta, Moore, Miller or Chol who can give a half decent chop out in the ruck, add to our aerial power and play all around the ground without compromising our structure or reducing our overall leg spreed too much..... :shh

Not sure about Moore tho doing that when he played didn't do any ruck work.Either Balta or Chol. The eagles setup is similar to what you a talking about.

Where is Coleman-Jones at?

Does he figure in this discussion?
