He's sponsoring the RFC website's player of the year thing Ramps.

----------------------------------

2006 Crazy John's Richmond Player of the Year

Here’s your chance to go “crazy” after each Richmond match throughout the 2006 season by naming the best three Tiger players afield . . .

“Crazy John’s” is the new sponsor of the official RFC website’s Player of the Year award, which is decided upon by Tiger supporters.

You can cast your votes for the top three Richmond players after every match (on the traditional 3-2-1 basis).
Voting for each round starts at the completion of the game and finishes at 11pm on the Thursday before the next round.

Registations open shortly. Please note that all previous voters in the Player of the Year award will have to re-register in 2006 due to a new voting system.

One lucky voter will win two tickets to the Club’s gala Jack Dyer Medal Night dinner at the end of the season.

I don't think that qualifies as "putting in some decent dough"  :help :-\

Perhaps he could sign on as our new ball sposnor - or is that just a crazy idea because it may actually cost him some money ::)

And just on ball sponsorship - I've heard that there a number of Victorian based clubs (I think it's about 5) that don't have ball sponsors going into season 2006 - perhaps if the AFL didn't take a cut companies might be a bit more interested

Is he are member yet? That would be the first thing he could do.

I heard the AFL are wanting to take the ball sponsorship back and are waiting for all the current club contracts to expire. I have no idea if there's any truth to it.
