So who do we draft next with our later picks?
« on: November 22, 2018, 09:51:58 PM »
Matt Clarke, our national recruiting manager, said we'll be looking for more running players in the draft tomorrow.

He said we went tall last year and we're pleased with our young tall stocks on our list - CCJ, Balta, Miller and Garthwaite.

So now the focus will be on running players.

Pretty neat sort of footy player by all accounts. Midfielder who has progressed well this season with Subiaco.

Can run all day and sticks tackles. Apparently a massive workrate and smart runner who is great at filling spaces defensively. Not blessed with explosive pace and has been injury prone.

Would be a good pick up at our second pick, but not likely to be there.

According to the Herald-Sun, our picks tonight will actually be 40, 67, 71, 77 & 95.

It depends on how many picks each club uses.

A few F/S & Academy players to go before our next pick - West, Kelly & McFayden.

Here's Buckenara's list of those remaining:

Interesting how many mature types we go for.

Anyone rate Jye Bolton (been compared to Kane Lambert) or is he more a Miles/Lloyd type who only stars at state league level? Dual Sandover Medallist nowdays (avg 31 possies in 2018) but failed in his first go at AFL with Collingwood.
