Jacko is going to find out who leaked out his facebook quote. He also claimed Vozzo's "interpretation" of his clash with Ballantyne was different to his lol but he has to just wear the consequences. Jacko said he and Ballantyne just crossed paths and collided as you do on the footy field  . Sam called Jacko a smartbehind because Jacko knew the meaning of and how to spell pariah.

Yep Essendon right now is the equivalent of where we were in 1983-84. In fighting, external influences, player revolts and losses far outweighing wins and losses to crappy clubs that the fans and board are not used to.

Life is sweet.

Funny how our rise up the ladder has coincided with our side much like the last 30 years.

Hopefully they're still on the back pages for being crap in 2040.

They were crap in the late 1920s and 30s when we were playing in GFs, we were crap in the 50s to mid 60s when they were successful, then we were successful again in the 70s to early 80s while they were nobodies, and then Sheeds lead then to success from the mid 80s to the early 00s. It's our turn to rise now and them to be the basketcase lol . For a big 4 club we don't has as big a rivalry with the Bombers compared to Carlton and Collingwood. We've only met them in GFs in 1942-43. The 1995 SF was a rarity as well.

You're right MT. That's why I find it harder to feel real hatred for Essendon. Resentment maybe. The most objectionable thing they ever did was steal our coach, which was our fault, or just bad timing anyway. Whereas with Carlton and Collingwood the hatred is just deeply ingrained.

Lets see where things stand at the end of Hardwicks 1st contract  People were laughing at Gales 75000k membership target, in 3 years they wont be laughing anymore - Richmond will make 50,000 next year if the club finishes this season in good form. The army is starting to stir, the roar at the end of games is slowly coming back, I'm confident we are on the right track this time, a good CEO and a good coach combined with an improving list. Our time will come soon enough and then we'll see who is in the big 3 or 4 and who isnt!

Two opposite views on Aker and the Doggies tonight.....

J Brown basically said what happened with Aker at the Bulldogs was similar to why he got the flick from Brisbane. The players and coach had had enough of him.

Sam put all the blame on the Bulldogs calling them incompetent and holding a vendetta. Got stuck into them for holding a kangaroo court and is that how they treat their players.
