Feel sorry for Fev and fear for him
Don't think he's as strong as Ben and he's pretty vulnerable at the moment
The casino incident will set him back again
Sad

Getting drunk and trying to slit his wrists is the biggest news out of that interview. Fev is an absolute mess and is still in denial about his gambling problem if he thinks poker is part of his rehab.

I actually feel sorry for him.
He was at Carlton for 10 years and they did nothing to help.
Surely they could have drawn a line in the sand a long time before Brownlow 2009.
Someone close to him would have known something and have some kind of inkling.
Media can follow you 24 hrs a day but when you are just gambling no problem yet the same media who would've known about the gambling will be writing blogs on what they think. SIck sick world we live in.
Newspapers are no better than the trashy womens mags.

i hope he makes it back. Would be just as good as a story as Cuz making his comeback IMO.

Everyone needs a few chances in life.

He spoke direct in the camera and seemed quite genuine regardless of his going to the casino today.

I don't much about being an addict but should he be classified as one if he doesn't drink Mon-Fri. He mentioned the clinic didnt see him as one.

Campbell brown nailed it.

It's more complicated if he's been medical diagnosed as suffering from depression as alcohol, drugs (not in Fev's case), gambling, etc can be twistedly seen by the person as a means of 'escape', but I would say he's an addict because he can't stop repeatingly doing the things that get him into trouble and that have screwed up his life and career and cost him his family. If he wasn't addicted to alcohol then the smart thing to do would be to give it up for good. The same with the gambling (he went from $1000 to winning $365k and then blowing it all in a day). The sad thing about him being at the Casino was that he was all alone. Again he was on his own in a taxi in Fortitude Valley before being arrested and again all alone when he got drunk on 4 bottles of wine and tried to take his life. He effectively needs supervision 24/7 to help and protect him from self-destructive activities.

More gutter jounralism by Ch 9 it would seem (I didn't watch it)

Let me see Sunday we pay the school for her story and now we pay Fev.

Fev's out of re-hab 4 days and decides to spills his guts to the Footy Show and go off to Crown to play some poker   :banghead

Has he learnt anything?

Gotta a news flash for him the hard part starts right now and after 4 days he has shown he has a long way to go. He is addicited to gambling but he still playing poker ..... he doesn't get it = long way to go

Somethings are better left out of the public spot light not for the public's sake but for the sake of the person who clearly has some serious issues to deal with  :wallywink

As for the morons at Ch9 I know it's about ratings but to let the interview go to air was disgraceful - will it help Fev? Most likely NO. DO they care - clearly defintiely NOT. Gutter journalism but it's Hutchy & Barrett we expect nothing less do we  :banghead

Would like to know if his management approved of the interview? Surely they didn't  :-\

 :lol

I think he used to be the personnel manager at a place i worked at years ago.

What term did you google to find that?
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Yahweh? or the great Clawski?

3aw said Fev's management told him long ago not to do the interview but Fev came back later and told them he's doing it anyway.
