Don't think anyone at the club enjoys that we've been forced to play home games away including Benny himself.

Absolutely poohouse that we'd gotten ourselves into such a dire a financial position to even contemplate it.
Hopefully we never have to again beyond the final game next season.
Yep. The club has been in a dire financial since the mid 80s. Losing $1.5m in those days (1985) was a massive amount for any club to lose. When you consider our revenue now is over 10 times what is was then then that kind of loss would be around $15m+ nowdays. No wonder we almost went under. We were able to survive but that was the problem going forward - we just survived going along with the same resources (and semi-pro mentality) we had left over from the 70s. Over the past few years we've been slowing playing catch up for three decades of neglect with the new facilities at Punt Rd and the FTF cash to invest in all areas of the Club.

It's a worry save our skins wasn't the last time we put ourselves in dire straits financially.
Doesn't take much to go to the wall at a football club.
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

Brownless tonight claimed he spoke to Hardwick and Dimma told him he's spoken to Jack Riewoldt about his poor onfield demeanour and to curb his demonstrative behaviour.

Btw Lyon said we are "certs" this week against Carlton. Thanks for the mozz Garry  :yawn.

That's what everyone said prior to r1 as well. Don't fall for it again, they match up well to our mids and their 2nd tier always seem to find form against us
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Haha great cloke pic, that will stir the pot.
As for the FS, didn't bother last night just went to bed.
Watched the first 5 minutes and just get repulsed by hairy malaka and co...
They all tipped us because they want us to lose obviously, garry needs to put focus on us as his demons will get done by 10 goals under the roof this week.

Show is way to biased now, news is open slather for clubs but if you bring up dees, nought or geelong the boys shut it down. Total crap

IIRC Brownless said he spoke to Dimma this week.
