Flicked it on only to be greeted with the sight of Bomber Thompson presenting Sam with an Essendon guernsey in thanks for all his arsekissing support last year.....said "oh stuff off" and promptly switched channels...

I dunno about anyone else but I hadn't hear Toby Mitchell mentioned since King announced his retirement. The goobers on that show went on to spend half the segment on his relationship with Mitchell and pushed about how much "King hated it".

Lids' interview tonight ...

* Getting back Ivan and Rance has made a big difference especially as far as experience. He saw a stat during the early part of the season and we were still a young side during that time. All the better for it in the long run and we are seeing that benefit now after 7 wins in a row.

* It wasn't that we weren't training well. We just weren't dotting every 'i' and crossing every 't'. Change came from honest feedback with each other which a lot of good stuff came out of.

* Agreed it's frustrating that we didn't right the ship earlier. Most frustrating thing is the season is drawing to a close and it'll be disappointing if we don't make the finals.

* Spending more time up forward lately. He doesn't spend too much time in the midfield. Only go in there when Cotch and Dusty are moved up forward.

* Milesy has been great and is a welcomed fresh face. Plays that important inside role for us as does Thomas.

* We can't afford to take St Kilda likely given what we dished up earlier in the year and that the Saints will be keen to beat us.
