Just as I suspected we passed on the last pick to keep a spot free for the mid-season draft....smart IMO....reckon we might need another tall come winter.....:shh

Pleased we retained Chol but only adding the mediocre Aarts who fills no real urgent need was underwhelming to say the least...basically a downgrade on Stengle.... :shh :shh

I would have only taken Townsend. I wouldn't have redrafted Chol and I don't think Aartz will add anything.

Agree. Would have taken Towners and the best state league Ruck and mid available with the next 2 picks.

Chol deserves another shot - was close before his injury and has huge upside, way moreso than Plodosaurus Soldo.... :shh

Aarts is puzzling....not a need and far better VFL players out there like Gibbons & Lentini.... but even if we were doing the old promote from within to motivate thing there were better options there too like Mannagh and  Ernest........ :shh :shh

Anyone know if we're adding any Cat B rookies from our NGA this year?

Just staggered we used our first rookie pick on him.

Do you think it was the correct choice? Even from just the options within our VFL list, let alone all the options outside of it?

No, haven't been impressed with him at VFL. Said many times some of our VFL lists blokes are average VFL players

If we were determined to take someone from VFL list I would have gone Mannagh

I looked at the Fox Sport 25-50 list after the draft and the one that stood out to me  due to height was Harry Reynolds.
Only played four games for Sandringham Dragons after playing APS footy.
Went to Sydney at pick 28 Rookie.
190cm midfield/forward. Will be interesting to see how he goes. Same with Fort and Sweet in the ruck.
