Ah stats more stats and damn lies.
So half the list is aged 22 or under at the start of the season what does it tell us. It says to me we lack maturity and experience outside of basically the starting 22. in effect we lack depth.
We have 15 players with 100 games plus to their names we have another 6 who have played between 50 and 99 games. These blokes make up our starting 22 in the main or are the first picked when injury or form hits others.
The average age of our best 25 or so would be 26yrs plus and would average well over 100 games.
The only other players we have who have played more than 20 games are
Butler, Townsend, Higgins, Graham, Menadue, Broad, three butler Higgins and Graham are regulars and fit the 22 and under scenario.
We need to get games into our kids somehow so when Rance goes down with an injury we have a developing player with 20 plus games who can come in and play his role.
Same goes for most positions.
You really would expect us to have a young list and lack experience with so many 22 and unders how many 22 and unders will even make the grade.
It really is not about how old or young your list is its all about where your best 25 - 30 players are at.
Fmd you can change the age of your list dramatically with just one large intake of kids in one draft or have 3 or 4 30 plus yr olds retire.
Whats the average age of all 18 clubs 23 23.5 ???
How many players do each club have in the prime age bracket of 23 or 24 thru 28.
