First Quarter:

We fought and scrapped, won the ball back at half back, which squirted out to Luke Nelson in the corridor. Nelson then breached the 50m arc and kicked truly. The young gun's first goal in the yellow and black. 🐯 7 🔴⚫️ 1

.@essendonvfl hits back, this game has been hot early, literally and figuratively. 🐯 7 🔴⚫️ 8

.@essendonvfl streams through the corridor and kicks another. James Stewart looking very dangerous for the Dons. 🐯 7 🔴⚫️ 14

QT: Fast paced opening quarter, with both sides bringing high intensity and effort around the ball. Menadue and Naish looking dangerous off half back.

🐯 1.1 (7)
🔴⚫️ 2.2 (14)

.@essendonvfl slots the first of the second and looks dangerous I50. 🐯 8 🔴⚫️ 20

HT: It was tough going in the clinches, with our pressure and energy high once again that quarter.

Third quarter:

Play has halted unfortunately due to Tiger, Angus Hicks suffering what appears to be a badly broken leg  :(.

James Stewart grabs the ball off the pack and waltzes into the open goal.

And we hit straight back 💪

The kid from the 🍎 aisle, Fraser Turner intercepts in the corridor, finds CC-J deep in F50, who flicks off another, this time @jakeaarts snaps truly.

In front!

3QT: A four-goal burst in Q3 saw us take the lead.

Callum Coleman-Jones provided a real presence and focal point.

Fraser Turner looked lively off a wing.

🔴⚫️  2.2    3.5     4.5-29

CCJ as a potential 2nd ruck option to Nankervis?

If he's hitting up and clunking marks at CHF and inside F50 which result in goals then no doubt he has the potential.
