Dusty sent for scans for his sore knee: Ch 7 news tonight
« on: March 04, 2019, 05:40:09 PM »
No idea what it will be but that's what the Ch 7 sports reporter said during their arvo news.

He said they'll be showing it in the 6 o'clock news tonight.

Update: You're right pmac. It's about Dusty's knee  :-\.

Dusty's knee.  Surely he had to some damage.  Looked really awkward.  I'm fearing the worst

Richmond superstar Dustin Martin has had scans after landing awkwardly on his knee, in yesterday's JLT clash in Shepparton. @Stevo7AFL #7AFL #7News

Balmey said the scan was just "precautionary" and Dusty will play this week.

However, he said something similar prior to the prelim last year and we know how that turned out  :-\.

Do you really think they'd let him play out the game if it was serious?

He wasn't limping as he walked after the game he was actaully laughing as he walked off

Players miss weeks with that

It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

Some do, some don't

"fearing the worst" I took to mean ACL and it certainly isn't that  ;D

In addition to this, there was no tape placed on the knee which would suggest no weakness in the overall structure of the joint.

It would be precautionary just to check, he is our biggest asset!!

Going by the way Dusty played on the weekend, he doesn't require any more practice match time. Give him the weekend off and then let him rip in round 1 when it matters.

Mark Stevens on Ch 7 tonight said he has spoken to the Tigers and we have said Dusty is "uncertain" to make the trip to Tassie this weekend. Stevens added his gut feel is that Dusty misses.
