Yeah, I'll admitt that part of me enjoyed the Bummers getting done over in the dying minutes, but can anybody tell me why Rampe was allowed to shake the goal post by climbing it without being penalized?   Its actually a very specific law of the game, specifically detailed in the rule book about shaking the post during a shot on goal, yet the controlling umpire (who was yelling at Rampe to "Get down") decided not to enforce the rule!
He saw Rampe climbing the post & yelled at him, but then decided not to enforce the rule ... how so?
Why bother having having a rule book if an individual umpire can choose to ignore a clear breach of the rules?  It wasn't common sense umpiring to not intervene, it was a clear choice to ignore a rule being broken!
If it had happened to us we would release the hounds ....

Apart from being overjoyed at watching the Bummers players pleading their case to the umpire only to be ignored, its the game I worry about at times like this.  Cue the conspiracy theories ....     :santa

Another Collingwood game and another day of umpire charity  ::). 11 frees to the Pies compared to Carlton's 2 and it's only the start of the 2nd quarter.

Weren't the Bombers premiership contenders only 2 weeks ago according to Robbo and co. :lol.

Rampe's post-climbing should have been a free but Essendon didn't deserve to win that game so they've only got themselves to blame :yep.

That goal awarded to Crisp that swung the match was a disgrace .....dodgy 50,  then a blatant free kick not awarded to Carlton for holding and to top it off an obvious touched ball by Elliot..."soft review" after every goal my arse..... :shh

Add Collingwood getting a goal earlier in the game when Treloar should have pinged for holding the ball.

If there was a stat for umpire assisted goals (frees paid to & frees not paid against) then Collingwood would a clear clubhouse leader.

Pathetic decision

Did anyone get a glimpse of Ryans mark over Gawn? I am enjoying Melbourne’s season going down the toilet but I do have a soft spot for Gawn and basically being fly kicked in the face while Ryan takes a hanger

Yeah, I watched it too.  Wow, awesome mark ... Mark Of the Year stuff.  Watching Gawn getting kicked in the face was ... well ... payback for all those Google ads!  Watching Melbourne getting their little hearts ripped out was ... well ... how could I NOT enjoy that?     :lol

Is Callum Brown still running?

You apparently don't need to bounce the ball if you're wearing a Pies jumper.

Pathetic that was MY

Is it just me or is anyone else getting sick of the clear bias the pies get in almost every game???
