Hinkley comparing us losing Rance, Jack, Cotch & Dusty to them losing Dixon, Hartlett, Watts & Amon  :huh.

DEALING with the tag of being strong favourites to beat an undermanned Richmond at Adelaide Oval on Saturday isn't sitting well with Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley.

Hinkley said the Power were down on troops as well, with Charlie Dixon (leg), vice-captain Hamish Hartlett (hamstring), utility Jack Watts (leg) and midfielder Karl Amon (knee) among those on the sidelines.

"It's really challenging for us, because there's some expectation upon what Richmond have got and what we have got," Hinkley said.

"If you look at it in the whole picture of things, we've got some players missing, they've got some players missing.

"It never counts for too much once the game starts.

"Regardless of who we play, whether it's Richmond with all their available squad or some of their players unavailable, that's no different to us."

Dixon - inconsistent
Hartlett - I thought he had retired
Watts - leaves his best for off season
Amon- I don't even know who the stuff he is

Keep dreaming Kenny, if your mob lose this you should start logging on to seek.com.au

Dixon is the only important player. Hinkley was trying to play mind games

He knows his trio are not even worthy to be mentioned in the same breath

That said injury excuse are for the weak

I hope you're right Ramps and we cause a massive upset but I'm not that optimistic. If it was a wet day over there, I'd be more hopeful as that would turn it into a game of effort and territory in which you can pinch a win against the odds. Today will be either one of our greatest wins or we'll cop an absolute flogging. I hope I'm wrong but sadly I think it will be the latter. Port are downhill skiers so it wouldn't surprise me if they have a day out at their home ground against our undermanned team. Whatever the result, I just hope we don't get anymore injuries  :banghead (touchwood).

Quirky stat: We've never kicked more than 11 goals against Port at the Adelaide Oval.

Game on.

Lambert out of the centre and Lynch marks 40 out.

Pulls it.

Good tackle by Kmac. Wins the free. Goes long towards Lynch but Port clears.

They run it up the other end for a goal  :P.

We're not going to win if we allow the opposition another week of easy transition goals out of our forward line  :banghead.

Prestia to graham across the ground to Ellis. To HF to Menadue. Goes long. Good contesting. Castagna to Caddy who snaps our first  :gotigers

Free to Higgo in the centre. Inside 50. Spoiled. Caddy to the pocket but marked by a Port defender in front of George. They clear.

Lambert to Higgo to HF. Handballed forward by Rioli. Higgo gathers but he misses.

8 - 7

We need to take our chances.

Contested footy: 16-  8
Clearances:       5 - 1
Uncontested: 18 - 34

Floss on the logo and Graham leads up and marks at HF. Lambert now insdie 50 but it's spoiled. Sheds to Prestia to stack back to Prestia inside 50. Bounces but Port gather.

We get it back via Balta intercepting 48m out. Long kick from 55 but it misses as well.

9 - 7

12 mins Q1

Inside 50s: 7 - 4

Good forward pressure forces the forward half turnover and Bolton receives the free 40 out. Misses and doesn't make the distance. Throw-in in the pocket. Port clear.

We get the handball intercept but handball it back to them (grrr!) and Port get a mark in their F50.

They make us pay for our misses  :banghead.
