Richmond

State of play:
The Tigers were never likely to be big players given their cap situation. Ellis has already been squeezed out and has signed with Gold Coast. Kamdyn McIntosh has attracted some interest, while it's hard to envisage either Connor Menadue or Butler being at Punt Road next year. Butler is in the sights of the Saints.

Suspended defender Sam Murray is attracting varying interest from Melbourne, Richmond, Greater Western Sydney and North Melbourne as an option in the delisted free agency period.

Collingwood has put James Aish on the trade table due to salary cap pressure.

Talk here of the Dogs swapping picks 13, 32 & 53 with Adelaide for 23, 28 & Keath. The Dogs then pass 28 to the Saints for Bruce. St Kilda then ontrades 28 to Sydney for Jones.

How the hell were Collingwood going to sign Lynch for a mill with the salary cap issues they’re having at the moment?

Dogs get fleeced if they do that deal for Keath^^

If I was Gold Coast I would be going to Max King and offer him as much money as they possibly can to move to GC in 2 years time.
However, he does barrack for the Saints I believe so unlikely.
Would just be funny if the reverse of what everyone thought would happen, happened.

Not a bad deal IMO for the Dogs, but I can see the Saints driving a hard bargain for 23 instead of 28. Why wouldn't you?

Good recruiting. Passing up reasonable picks to address their deficiencies.

A forward line of Bruce + Naughton will be entertaining to watch for sure. Keath to replace Morris even though he didn't get out much.

My god there is a lot of talk around footy hacks at the moment.  Aish, Menadue, Howard, Betts, Jenkins, the list goes on.
If I hear Trade Radio mention Joe Daniher being linked to the Papley trade and pick 9 one more time I will spew up...
Trade week should be 3 days only starting now and that's it. Get rid of the radio station too. It's just jounos doing what we do but being paid for it....

Imagine if Sydney gets pick 9 for Papley and then trades 5+9 to Dons for Daniher and he can't get on the park again lol.

Honestly with picks 5, 9 & 25 they should just go to the draft. Pick up Green, McAsey + Jones if they want key forwards.

Their club is stuffed and won't challenge for the flag again anytime soon!

Sydney are in a precarious position where they have to either stay competitive and win games OR have marque players that gets the fairweather Sydneysiders through the gates. They have to stay relevant.

Sydney do get reemed with that deal though. If I was them I'd hold firm with the current offer and let Essendon stew. Danniher isn't some fringe player "nominating his club of choice" so he can go and get games somewhere. If a guy of his status comes out and states publicly that he wants to leave, as if you want to keep him at your club.

Essendon just proving to the world their arrogance and sense of entitlement knows no bounds.

Multiple Melbourne clubs have inquired about Port Adelaide star Robbie Gray, who turns 32 next year and qualifies for unrestricted free agency.

Betts has gone to Carlton for a future 4th round pick and Adelaide are paying part of his salary.
