Throw-in F50. Gawn whacks to straight to Baker 40 out but he sprays it OOTF  :P.

Geez we've missed chances this quarter  :scream

Problem with us at times is we don't know when to hand off to a teammate. Why have a chain of handpasses starting dead in front on 50 and head towards the pocket, what's the point, just run straight and kick the goal. Very frustrating watching loopy handballs to players in worst positions.

Half-time

Richmond   3.1   5.4-34
Melbourne  4.1   4.2-26

Goals: Lynch, Castagna, Ellis, Baker, Martin.

Dominated the inside 50s in that 2nd quarter but didn't put it on the scoreboard.

Astbury ankle? bad?
No news yet. He couldn't put weight on the ankle and was taken straight down to the rooms. Best case scenario is it is only a bad sprain and it needs to be re-strapped. Worst case is he's injured ligaments and will miss weeks  :-\.

he pointed to his ankle - I’m hoping it’s a sprain although we might be better off with another small down there anyway
"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

That 2nd quarter was a snoozefest.  :sleep

Two power forwards and we can’t kick it to advantage of the forward?  :banghead

Agree Lozza.

It's too much Harlem globetrotters. We're doing the fancy tap-ons even when a normal boring old-school disposal is the best option. It's over-possessing on steroids and as you say Lozza it's going to teammates in worst positions which is stuffing up goal chances  :scream.

Richmond continue to dominate forward half intercepts, winning 18 so far compared to just seven for the Demons. This has resulted in six more inside 50s for the Tigers. Nathan Broad and Jack Riewoldt have won three forward intercepts each.

The Tigers have managed to gain the ascendancy at stoppages this term, leading clearances 10 to four. They have not been able to capitalise on this dominance however, with both sides only kicking the two scores sourced from stoppages.

Melbourne was held goalless in the second quarter, the fourth-time this year that the Demons have failed to kick a goal in a quarter. In 2018, the Demons were held goalless in just six quarters throughout their 25 matches.

Team stats:

Disposals:  192 - 186  ( contested: 80 - 87 )
Clearances:  20 - 16    ( centre: 6 - 3 )
Inside 50s:   33 - 22    ( marks in50: 4 - 5 )
Tackles:        45 - 34
Hitouts:        13 - 28
Frees:           11 - 7

Astbury came out after half-time later than the group but he has gone onto the ground with them now to test out the ankle.

Ch 7 showing Astbury is moving better now. He jogged off to the bench.

:facepalm.

We gave it straight to them twice in our D50. They stuffed up the first chance and so we gave them another  :banghead.

Geez we're doing our best to stuff up everything.

Lucky george copped a high tackle. Misses from 40.
