Every win we get with our injuries is a bonus. Every loss unfortunately has been heavy.

Reminded me of that infamous St Kilda game of 2017 .

We just failed to get out of first gear.

That bloke wouldn't have got 2 marks if Rance was playing. How many did he grab on those guns

Most disappointing thing is the senior players didn't stand up

Nank was terrible, playing against a baby and was at times non competitive

Prestia, hello was he out there? That missed set shot was laughable

Caddy dropping marks he normally would gobble up

Lambert, plenty of the ball but .... quality is non existent

And don't get me started on Dusty.

I feel for Tom Lynch, he makes lead they get ignored and then they just bomb it long to him ....

I think considering our injuries a 4-3 record is not bad. However 3 losses at an avg of what 50 points is unacceptable. I really don’t understand why our pressure fluctuates so much. 6 tackles inside fwd 50 compared to around 20 the past couple of weeks says it all.

We have a habit of making avg players and teams look good and we did it once again. Almost 100 points conceded against the bulldogs who couldn’t buy a goal the past month  :banghead

As for the players, no point signalling out anyone. Everyone bar 2-3 were poor both effort and skill wise.

Beveridge had his team up and about from the start, took away the Tigers’ strength in defence and minimised their control of the ball.

Midway through the second term, the Bulldogs’ pressure rating was at a sky-high 292 — more than 50 per cent above the AFL average of 179.

The pressure was such that the Tigers did not take a single mark in the opening 10 minutes of the second term, while intercept defenders Dylan Grimes and Nick Vlastuin were kept manned up and busy to stifle the usual rebound from the back half.

A team that had not kicked 10 goals in its previous four matches finished with 15 majors, all while keeping Richmond to 52 points — its lowest score since Round 23, 2016.

Gap between our best and worst footy is a problem-a massive problem.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Few things.

Rance out is big but we missed Astbury big time last night. Many can him but he does the job on big forwards each week and a lot of what he does goes unnoticed until he is not there.

Not replacing a tall was a big mistake made at selection. The dog's went in confident they could take us in the air up forward and guesss what, they did.

Tom Lynch is not Jack and the preasure plan doesn't work as well with him as the only tall. That's not being critical of him as the delivery to him has be horrible.  It just that he is not the extra preasure player that Jack brings to the forward line

There were a lot of players down last night but there are a few that have been down all year. Thing is that we are running with a very young team due to injuries and those underperforming are probably getting picked just because of thier experience.Match committee are probably not wanting to field many more youngsters which I agree with. Without the injuries I would hope that these underperformers would get dropped and some of them never to be seen again .

We have got some great young talent comming through. Love the way they are going but we are probably running to many at once. Results like last night will happen with so many young players but it wasn't them that let the team down.

I thought Nank worked tirelessly all night, loved the chase and crunching tackle.

Correct. Our 3 losses have been 44, 49, 47 points ...

That’s an issue!

Lowest score since Round 23, 2016?

Work rate is not the issue

Had a chance last night to impose himself on a game and for the most part got out worked by a kid, who has great potential but is still learning the game

Umpires toweled us again - happens every week, sometimes even worse in matches we win. - minor issue. :shh

Killed in the air. Bigger issues  :shh

Footscray's elite "handpassing" game was back - just replace the Wallabies with them and Australia might actually be a shot of winning the Rugby World Cup this year.  :shh

Smashed in the clearances, centre bounces were embarrassing. Major Issue. :shh

Abysmal forward entries   - no change there but burnt more than usual when coupled with zero forward defensive pressure. Constant issue. :shh

Shocking work rate and defensive efforts- one way cheat running, barely a shepherd or block all match,  pathetic tackling , drawn to the ball carrier - looked like pre- Caracella Richmond , add the comical skill errors and it was Frwaleyesque Npo excuse after a ten day break.  Got ahead of ourselves - perhaps not a "glamourous" enough fixture for us to get up for.... Usual suspects badly exposed yet again.  Biggest issue.  :shh

Get Houli up to the wing because he can't defend one on one.
