Can't see the ins being anything other than just Soldo & Vlastuin for Nankervis & Ross and possibly Rioli for Higgins or Menadue.  :shh

Happy with both Menadue and Higgins in to give Rioli another week off.  It’s a long year and IMO no need rush him back. He looked pretty beat up against the WB.

Could defs see RCD coming in for Ross as it’s the most like for like change for him. Would rather see broad come out for vlas but seems like Menadue might be super unlucky. Soldo/CCJ to fight it out for nanks spot, thinking soldo will get first crack considering it’s McEvoy. Rioli for Higgins.

Could have atleast chucked naish in extended squad to reward form in place of either soldo/ccj. Surely they’ve decided which one of them will play.

Can’t drop Menadue after his superb game. Probably his best at our club.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Yes but he seems to be a last in first out type in the minds of Hardwick and the match commitee.... :shh

Why is everyone calling for Broad to be dropped? Not his biggest fan but he was mighty last week considering what was asked of him...was basically on a hiding to nothing... :shh :shh

BTW - reckon Broad looked alright in the guts - obviously & understanderbly his ruck work left a lot to be desired but as the extra mid he didn't look entirely out of place to me.... :shh

So Broad, Menadue, Castagna and Prestia are not named in the VFL squad. All others named on the bench are. Interesting...

Hawthorn's squad for those interested:

Hawthorn has added four names to its extended squad ahead of Sunday’s clash with Richmond.

Hawks Isaac Smith (foot) and Chad Wingard (hamstring) won’t feature, with both sidelined for another week as they look to return to full fitness.

Instead, the quartet of Conor Glass, Kaiden Brand, Conor Nash and Teia Miles have been included in the Hawks squad of 26.

B: Sicily, Frawley, Impey
HB: Stratton, O’Brien, Hardwick
C: Scully, O’Meara, Henderson
HF: Breust, Puopolo, Scrimshaw
F: Ceglar, Lewis, Gunston
FOLL: McEvoy, Worpel, Shiels
I/C (from): Burgoyne, Miles, Cousins, Morrison, Brand, Moore, Nash

I've heard that at Griggs farewell speech, Higgo asked if he could say something. He said 'plethora', Grigg said 'thank you, that means a lot'.

Love to see Townsend come in and play as a defensive forward on James Sicily.
What a match up that would be.

Soldo will play according to Dimma.

CCJ & RCD are close to debuting but not this weekend.

Dimma wants a more experienced player to replace Ross in that inside midfield role.
