Changes for the Norf game?

I think Houli has been pretty good this year and I really don’t rate him that highly but I 100% agree his defensive work isn’t good and to be honest never really has been. He gets heaps of kicks and gives us good run but he needs to defend a lot better. He gets away with it against sides like Essendon but good sides like Collingwood expose it.

The worst thing I saw on Saturday night is on numerous occasions is he deliberately goes to ground when tackling and tucks his head in a way not to get hurt but he is basically out of the next contest if the guy he tackled gets a handball or the ball knocks free. It stands out like dis balls if you watch for it.

I know a bash Bellis but he does it too.
You watch a guy like Sydney Stack who is a baby in terms of AFL footy but as a natural tackler and defender he knows when he tackles, regardless of if he goes to ground, he needs to be in the best position to get to the next contest before the guy he tackled.

You watch guys like Vlastuin, Grimes and of course Rance and they all do what Stack does.

Teams expose it. Was BOG in the biggest game of the year GF in 2017 and was fantastic in the finals.

Hang on a minute- Bellis was also a HBF in that GF side. It just shows you how dominant Rance, Grimes, Vlastuin and even Broad were for covering for both of them defensively.
Make no mistake Houli is a weak defender. You even said that yourself a post ago so try not to confuse what I am saying.

Houli should be moved to a wing and Bells should head to Norf.

RICHMOND

Get them in: Ruckman Ivan Soldo has now served his one-match suspension for striking. Big man Mabior Chol (23 disposals, 22 hitouts, one goal) was named best afield in the VFL, playing up forward and in the ruck. Jack Graham returned from a hamstring in the VFL and had 18 touches and two goals.

Under the pump: Expect Callum Coleman-Jones to make way for Soldo after the 19-year-old made his AFL debut ahead of schedule. Connor Menadue (nine disposals) was more subdued up forward after an impressive few weeks

Medical room: Hard-running midfielder Kane Lambert is set for another week on the sidelines with Achilles soreness. Meanwhile, skipper Trent Cotchin is on track to return from the hamstring he first injured in round three. Tom Lynch missed the last quarter with a corked calf but is expected to be fine.

Verdict: May just be the two changes for the Tigers, with Coleman-Jones making way for the returning Soldo, while Menadue is one who could be omitted for Cotchin. The versatile Graham is waiting in the wings for any sore players who fail to recover after the six-day break from a game played in wet conditions.

Mason Wood is  the one I'd be all over....hoping his poor form of the last 18 months could see him be had for unders....Goldstein for a year wouldn't be the worst idea in the world...........Cunnington if he was a couple years younger and a yard quicker...and could kick....Atley maybe for minimum chips....
