Tigers’ burning question: Are we starting to see a few cracks appear?
Damien Hardwick’s side was the scariest team in the competition in 2018, but they are a different beast this year. Alex Rance has been out for almost the whole year, Jack Riewoldt has barely played and Trent Cotchin missed two months. According to Champion Data, the Tigers were the second-hardest team to move the ball against from defensive 50 to inside 50 last year, but this year they are the second-easiest. It is a stark difference from one season to the next — and one the Tigers will need to fix if they are going to do anything this September.
