Reckon George marked that after the siren  :whistle. But the rule is the game ends when the ump blows his whistle.

Won by 28 pts in the end. Take the win and move on knowing we need to lift and won't get away with that poor second half in the upcoming six weeks.

That was a mark wasn't it to Astbury?

Commonsense umpiring would have been to call a ball-up if he called it touched.
Common sense applies to any other team other than Tigers. Marked the ball and then immediately tackled, where was prior opportunity?

Grimes had touched the ball on the way through. It wasnt a mark. Should have been a ball up.

Astbury shouldn't have dropped it. That was why he was pinged. He should have just held onto the ball and hoped for a ball-up.

Still an absolute rubbish call. Man why couldn’t we crush Carlton by 10 goals? Happy with the win. Will benefit from cotch and Martin returning next week

Agree, Astbury should have grappled McGovern and gone to ground, ball up.

Castagna goal was wrong but I'm ok with that.

Those type of mark / no mark scenarios usually get pulled up freshly quickly by decent umpires so the player isn’t penalised for being jumped immediately. Not in this case, the longer the play was allowed to unfold the more he was always going to get pinged.

Need to lift tho won't get away with that in second half next 2 weeks.Got lazy at times, didn't keep it simple to cute and played like the match was over. Get it quicker into our forward line to many handballs etc.A few would want to be better or else may be back in vfl.

Missed an opportunity to lift percentage above Collingwood which may be crucial

I know it was wet and slippery but a rubbish game all round. I find footy mostly tedious and today’s game was a prime example of how far backwards footy has gone comparing it to what I consider the best era of footy which was the 90’s.

This weeks footy has been atrocious actually.
The club that keeps giving.
