Given that Lynch was playing on one foot until the bye and sideshow Bob Brown was appropriately criticised for basically diving and getting cheap frees in front of goal I think it's a no brainier.

Lynch by the length of Flemington. Genuine power forward with presence.

Most of the stats in Brown's favour are less damaging or hardly favourable. Goal assists (13 to 4) and contested marks, gound ball vets, tackles etc are more important to me and all suggest Lynch is superior.

Houli's year really hasn't been much different to other years, disposal count has been padded by kickouts. Playing at a very similar to the norm, which is a pretty good standard most of the time.

But stuff me. This side is a chook raffle.

This is overstated so much.

1. He doesn’t take all of the kick outs. I’d say vlas and short take just as many as him.
2. As has always been the case it only counts as a disposal if u play on from the kick out which granted has become easier with the new rules.

He takes 60% at bare minimum. Last year he, Ellis, Short and every so often Vlastuin took them. It has easily increased his disposal count. That's not knocking him, it's just true.

In a world where a lot of people look at the disposal count at the end of the day and stuff all else...it hasn't surprised me to see so many say he's lifted his game to a new level. I personally don't think he has. Again, not a knock on the guy. He's a good player and very important, I just reckon it goes to show how bad people in the media are when it comes to analysis when it has become glaringly obvious half of the peanuts are going off stats.

Big D.Grimes is a case of a guy who has been done over by media, AA selectors and everyone outside of Richmond because he's not a finessed accumlator like some of the dudes who have been multiple AA reps. He's been a gun for well over 5 years and only now has he even been nominated for the squad - it is ridic

Yeah, how the stuff does that work? Granted he was pretty ordinary at times this year but the football he's played in the last few months is head and shoulders above anyone else in the comp
