Boring test cricket

India will be happy with a draw as it will guarantee them a place in the World Cricket Championship at Lords.

What has got me baffled is why at the start of the Indian innings again yesterday didn't we attack with our field placings?  We scored 480 and when Starc and Green were bowling we had 2 slips and a gully, no one around the bat... poor captaincy by Smith.

Surely you go all out attack to start with  :-\ ::)

Yep. Not having a leg slip or short leg gully to the spinners spinning the ball into the right handers seemed odd too. There was a bat-pad off Kohli last night that looped to the legside just behind him and we had not one catching fielder there.

As for the wickets themselves, there should be a duty on curators to make wickets that are between the extremes of a 2-day pothole nightmare and a dull flat road :P.

India 4/362 at Lunch Day 4 by the way. Murphy with the only wicket so far today.

Kohli's made 150

And India lead

Only one side can win this test match and it isn't Australia

Granted the pitch is a road but our bowling, field placements have been average. Murphy continues to shine though

Seriously?  ::)

Probably keeping him fresh for the morning, why risk him?
Been standing around outside for nearly 4 days straight in 35c heat, two days batting + two fielding.

Just played a night watchman to protect him.
