And stumps day 1 of the Pink Ball Women’s Test at the MCG

England all out for 170

Aussies 1/56 in reply

Alana King took 4/45, she's a very special talent

Only concern Ellyse Perry was off the field for over a session with a hip injury

Had a great day... ;D

Thank goodness her name is Alana

Easy mistake to make in 2025 though, I’ll give you that

A very, very special addition to the MCG honour boards.

A. J. Sutherland, the first woman to have her named etched in history for a Test Century at the ‘G ✨

The team that continues to write history.

Beth Mooney takes her place on the MCG honour boards after recording her maiden Test century 👏

Have to say the selectors seem to have got it right.

I'd have considered Boland over Starc to give Starc a break but otherwise they seem to be on the money.

Been at lords day one and 2 with a mate. He is back today using his mcc  his old man signed him up for which I didn't  even know you could.

It's been  a very entertaining test that's for sure. Aussies should  still win from here.

As for the crowds. Give me an ashes test here any day. Sth Africans are a boring lot.

Still amazes me you can bring a few cans, a bottle of champagne in a picnic basket. Mcg is a joke.

Australia on the ropes

SA need 69 more runs with 8 wickets in hand.

Markham finally delivers on the big stage 102 n.o. off 159 balls

At stumps

SA 2/213

Steve Smith has suffered a very nasty dislocated finger

Aust top order batting has been shown up for what it's been for the last couple of years and that's very average. Onus is on the selectors..time for some thought calls.

This batting lineup is dogpoo.

Usman has been solid but it's time to retire or find someone younger seriously.

Marnus opening is terrible. His form has been crap for so long I'm not even sure he should be in the team.

Green at 3 is just wrong. Him and Webster should be around the 5-7 mark with Carey.

And as much as I like Hazelwood I don't understand why they play him vs Boland when we have Webster and Green in the side. Need another legit strike bowler.
