CCJ out of the ruck. Pickett great 30m handpass to Naish who doesn't have to change stride and he drills it  :gotigers.

We're running out the game and now getting the space forward of centre. CCJ to Towner to Markov 40 out. To the square and it's rushed.

Menadue BOG.

I’d drop Ellis for him on Friday night as he’s not shy to take on  the opposition.
The club that keeps giving.

Won the game at the start with 5 of the first 7 goals and the end with 6 of the last 7. That's 11 of the 14 we kicked. In between we were beaten in the contested footy and clearances.

Menadue and Eggy our best over 4 quarters.

Pickett got better and more influential again as the game went along. I don't see him being given a senior game though.

Balta's move into the ruck in the last was telling. Brought him and his huge hoof on ball and into the game. A couple of times he cleared Port's press which set up goals.

Chol was disappointing for mine. Didn't use his body often enough and had a number of nearly moments that he snags when he is 'on'.

Kmac won't get back into the side based on his game today. Better last quarter but nothing much to write home about in the first 3 qtrs.

CCJ battled. A mixed game from him.

After doing nothing all day, Moore and Markov came good in the last. Port tiring allowed us more space forward of centre.

Towner stood up as one of our VFL leaders with some smart play at the end and crashed bodies as ever including teammates lol. Left Morris sore which is hard to do.

Garth did well defensively but his kicking was ordinary.

Miller was okay in defence. Not prominent but our worst either.

Ross was well down on his pre-injury form. Likewise Naish was quiet apart from the two goals he kicked.

Our other first years showed their inexperience and rawness. RCD put his body in but he still lacks polish. Turner was quiet in a heavily contested game. English was in the game early but was quiet after that.

Butler, Weller & Aarts showed why they are on the way out.
