A very special day

It is a privilege to be there

This one was different to 2017 though

This victory was just brutal. A statement made
Very different, but equally as special.

Going in to a GF as favourites is pretty horrible in a way, and you desperately want the game to play out exactly as it did. Could not have scripted it better.

They were talking about that Owl on the radio last week. They had some guy on who was giving themes for each team before each final. Richmond were the "bulls" based on our charging forward in numbers like the running of the bulls in Pamplona. Some listener then texted in that the bull is the symbol for Lamborghini while Ferrari's is the prancing horse. A charging bull will always beat a prancing horse  ;D.

lol.  I tell you what is funny is reading all the salty neutrals, I actually feel for GWS fans, I reckon they are alright, they aren't bitter sooks, and they got shafted by their team, but the bitter, salty neutrals..gee I am dining out on their brine atm.  Short memories.  Where are all their witty little ninthmond japes and their flippant dismissals of of shitmond today?  Oh no it was the umpires and the "VFL" centric AFL and other conspiracies, we got it handed to us on a stuffing platter apparently despite working through all the compromised drafts and playing against a team that has had the pick of the crop since inception.
Truth is, this is one magic stuffing group of people at RFC from Little Peggie to the poor basted scrubbing the shitters at night and I am stoked for our club to see the sun shining again for us and to prove it wasn't just a fluke.

And another thing, how come Marlion Pickett, a WAFL player, can play just fine on the MCG in his first game of AFL ?  All these supposedly professional teams are somehow crippled by the experience.

I did laugh at one interstate club supporter still whinging about the Grand Final being played at the 'G and that it needs to be shared around. He seriously typed "It takes the interstate team being much better than the Victorian team to win the GF". Ummm, being better than your opponent is the whole point of footy/sport no matter where you play :stupid

We won the QF away interstate in Brisbane in front of a packed 'Gabba and as a result earnt the PF and yesterday's GF as our home games as the higher ranked team. Even under the rotation system some want, the Granny this year would've still been played at the 'G.

LOL at sooking about the umps when the margin is 15 goals  :lol. Actually it was the first time I can remember that I didn't notice Razor Ray umpiring  :o.

cept for his rubbish free and then fifty, he kept pretty quiet.  I spose that was somehow biased in our favor taking it from our fifty to their forward fifty and ending in a certain goal to them lol

I wonder if we have broken GWS - just like we did the Adelaide football club and Chris Scott.

Quirky stats from the Grand Final:

* The numbers say it was the most dominant grand final in VFL/AFL history. The 17.12 (114) to 3.7 (25) victory converts to a percentage of 456.0 - well above the 370.5 produced by the Cats 12 years ago.

* Jack Riewoldt's 5 goals was more than the Giants' entire score of 3.7-25. The first time in 118 years that has happened in a Grand Final (Essendon's Albert Thurgood 3 goals in the 1901 Grand Final vs Collingwood's 2.4-16)

* Dustin Martin created history when he picked up his second Norm Smith Medal, becoming the only player to own two flags, two Norms and a Brownlow.

* Dusty did it by becoming just the seventh player in the AFL era to have at least 20 disposals and four goals in a grand final.

I think we have mate. Not only that I think Cameron will return to Melbourne

A big club will see the success we had with Lynch and come hard in getting him back to Melbourne

Childhood dream come true to see us win a flag at the MCG. Thank you to the players. A hard run to the finals and two tough finals put us in good stead.
