Patton for a fourth rounder OMG
« on: October 15, 2019, 06:45:19 PM »
Can anyone believe what whorethorn paid for patton? How bad must his knee be? How crap must GWS injury management be. Given they got Scully on the park you'd bet they get 15 games out of Patton this year.

They will be paying a lot of Patton's salary, which is the main motivation for GWS offloading Scully also. Helps their cap!

Agreed, although he's probably just there to take the heat off Lewis Mitchell who looks likely IMO

Giants have a massive task on their hands resigning Williams, Whitfield and Cameron who are all free agents at the end of next season. They were more than happy to get his salary off the books like they were with Scully one year earlier.

As for what they got in return, don’t think they could care less with the young talent they got and revolving door of early draft picks.

Exactly. Just more points for Green.

I still think it's a steal if you can get him on the park. Admittedly when I first posted I didn't know he'd had 3 reco's I thought only 1. So it's a big if.

Hawthorn are becoming a recycle bin. Over half of their best 22 have come from other clubs.
