Dow is currently our best centre clearance player. He is showing more care and values his kicks now more than ever. As a poor centre clearance team he is valued. No question he should get another year and he should be played.

Interim Richmond coach Andrew McQualter acknowledged Dow’s display during his post-game press conference.

“I was really pleased for ‘Dowie’,” McQualter said.

“He was significant around the ball for us.

“I thought he had a real impact and played well, which is good to see for him.”

Cmon he is a light weight 183cm mid who is slow and bluntly cannot kick. Been around 4 years and now after what 3quarters of decent footy he is a keeper.

Sure he earnt another game so play him but its sad to think his skillset is better than many who are playing.

4 yrs or half a game i know what body of work im going by. Sadly i think its time to delist.

Not convinced about him either but wouldn't call him slow. :shh

Or a lightweight. I’m not sure he will make it either but the body of work has barely been tested like say for a Jack Ross.
Using your own logic Crawski, he needs a full year in the seniors before we can ascertain his level in the seniors.  :shh
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Well his teammates suggest he is our best clearance player and they loved what he produced last week as they know he can play. His improved game is all around care when footy is in hand- to this end, he has improved.

Look for 4 years i have held back real criticism of this bloke. But its time to be critical he has had long enough.
a 183cm what 82kg mid who cannot kick and is not a big contested ball winner. And yes watch closely, if slow is harsh then lets say  not overly quick.

Like most ive thought he will either force his way in and when he does he will grab it with both hands. It has not happened and i ask again do you judge him on the half of good footy he played this week or the overall body of work.

For sure out of a bad lot who got beat up by an average midfield imo he deserves another game.

Can you tell me the outstanding attributes that you see that says we have to keep him. even at vfl level.

Same as last week - good first half ordinary second half - good things mixed with some sub par and soft efforts too... :shh

Yep

I was very disappointed with some of the non efforts in the 2nd half

He was ok, but one effort when he just didn't even bother to chase was appalling
