Katie Brennan is expected to miss the remainder of the 2020 AFLW season as she continues to suffer symptoms of concussion.

"Given the known risks of playing sports with concussion, Club medical staff are maintaining a best practice approach to recovery that prioritises Katie’s health and wellbeing," Richmond AFLW Club Doctor, Carlee van Dyk said.

So 4 weeks out due to concussion for Katie

1 week for the player who caused it.

Seems fair  >:(

Thank goodness.
I don’t think Monique, Phoebe, Grace & a couple of others could handle another game with the other hacks in our team.  :rollin

Yeah theyve absolutely killed it this year in terms of putting a list together. A grade stuff indeed. Lets keep em on for the next 10 years and we can fill the trophy cabinet with wooden spoons.

Can the AFL & the clubs afford to support this folly after this year?  :shh

Do you know how much it costs them?

A lot less than you think

It is less than what their annual distribution to all the AFL club's is which = $314 million or the equivalent of $17 mil per club

And less than what they pump into AFL Victoria

They outlay a total of $14 million a year for the AFLW

The numbers above were reported by Ch7 news the other night

So when you look in total where the $$$ go it isn't that great

Club fixed costs are around $60million a year to operate.

With only membership revenue that is not refunded coming in most clubs stand to lose 40 million this year

Costs will have to be cut to the bone.  Players won’t be paid. The 20% cut won’t be enough

The girls game will be an amateur sport again next year and the men will have to accept minimum wage or they’ll be amateurs also
