The Tigers go into Friday night's clash with Carlton at the MCG full of confidence, after registering their first win for the season against the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba on Saturday night.

The match is the first night fixture to be played at the MCG this season.

Wallace said his side was looking forward to playing in front of a home crowd under lights at the new-look MCG.

"We're looking forward to Friday night football again," Wallace said.

"We've had a couple of opportunities at it this year and haven't been able to get a win, so it would be obviously nice from that aspect of it.

"But the thing I think that all our guys are really looking forward to is the fact that it's the first night game on the reconfigured MCG."

Same with me. can't say i hate them as such but beating them is more pleasurable for me than beating Collingwood.  At he start of the year this was one game I targetted as really really wanting to win.

Last time i brought someone to a Carlton game, the scoreboard burnt down - so hopefully it will just be as interesting.

About an hour lol.  My first game of footy was at Princes Park (or Princess lol) against the Blues.  And not knowing much about footy at the time, their colours took my fancy.  Dad was not too pleased when i told him i liked the Blues and didn't take him long to convert me.  A couple of evil looks was enough to change my mind lol
