NRL letting crowds in next week.... :shh

Not sure 500 corporates scattered around a venue is "letting crowds in"

Pathetic that the government allows protesting in the first place.

"I'll take "What the left were saying about anti-lockdown protests only two weeks ago for 500 please Alex"...." :shh

Well they'd let in more but obviously those corporates aren't indigenous or left wing activists so therefore aren't blessed with the natural immunity those two groups have apparently been suddenly blessed with...... :shh

Might make things like giving directions, talking about remainders and explaining the concept of leaving in the past tense unnecessarily complicated... not to mention discussing the dominant sides of a few players on our list...:shh

Crowds of 2000 now allowed for footy in Adelaide.

AFL crowds are BACK! And the Adelaide Oval will get first crack

June 9, 2020 1:30pm

Foxfooty.com.au can reveal approximately a couple of thousand supporters will be permitted to watch the match live.

South Australian Police Commissioner Grant Stevens and Premier Steven Marshall are expected to confirm the news on Tuesday afternoon.

Finer details are still being worked through, but it's likely there will be a combination of corporates and members permitted to attend.

It remains to be seen how people will be social distanced and what the food and drink plan will be.

Meanwhile, Queensland won't allow fans to attend games this weekend but has left the door ajar for later in June.

Peggy, Benny and the rest of the RFC Board will be allowed to attend the game on Thursday night provided they stay behind the glass in a corporate box.

Victorian fans are likely to have to wait until at least Round 4 to see their club live.

“As for Victoria, my understanding is there’ll be no crowds at AFL venues there for at least two weeks,” Jon Ralph said.

“Potentially after that we could see crowds back at GMHBA Stadium, the MCG and Marvel Stadium.

For smaller <40k stadiums, crowds of up to 25% capacity will be allowed from July onwards (each state will make the decision about when).

The venues will be allowed to sell 10,000 ticketed seats per event, with social distancing measures in place around bars and food outlets.

Concerns about how that many people will get to the 'G. Trains and trams too packed for safe social distancing, queues at turnstiles, too many people to temperature check before entry, etc.

They could just close off the top tier(s) and reduce the capacity of the 'G to <40k. That way 10k could still turn up and sit spread out right around the ground level seats.
