The big question every AFL club faces heading into season restart

RICHMOND - Have they been put off at all by the hiatus?

If the Tigers beat Collingwood in the Round 2 opener, it’ll mean Damien Hardwick’s side won’t have lost for an entire calendar year.

Of course, that’s slightly less impressive given every AFL team has been unbeaten since March 23, but it’s part of a clear and obvious message - Richmond are the premiership favourites until someone proves otherwise.

With games against the Magpies and Hawthorn to restart the season, plus a bizarre but dangerous trip to the Gold Coast to face West Coast, there will be chances for someone to create that proof.

But the Tigers will be going into Round 2 basically at full strength, with the notable exception of Bachar Houli. We’re not brave enough to predict their downfall.
