Likely to be 2021 not 2020 this game.  AFL is kidding itself if it thinks the season can continue now.  All Essendon players and staff have been exposed and have to go into 2 weeks quarantine immediately.  They travelled to Sydney last week and who knows if some were positive then.

WA and SA are going to double down on border restrictions now.

The season is effectively done.

Anyone who pretends otherwise are kidding themselves

He tested negative last week. Only tested positive this week. So Sydney last week is a non issue. No one from Sydney has tested positive and if he was positive last week it would shown in testing by now

But need to correct you on a couple of other points.

Under Dept Health protocols, only close contacts will need to go into iso for 14 days, not everyone. How many will that be? Hard to say but it won't be the entire list. AFL rules restrict the amount of time entire lists can train together.

Everyone will be re-tested and depending on the results of those deemed non close contacts will determine when they can start again. Site is being cleaned which is mandatory.

Anyone forced into iso will be tested 7 days after McKenna tested positive = next Friday and remain in iso for the full 14 days

Delay? Possibly. Done for the year, nope

Exactly, we wouldn’t have an economy if your suggestions were carried out in the workplace

Season is done WP. Gill said himself when the season was first suspended it will only take 1 positive test to make it untenable to go on

Respect your opinion Knighter but can't / don't agree

Things have changed; more is known now around how to handle and control ... so that doesn't need to happen now.

How do u think the game v West Coast will go ahead?

The borders are already closed and the latest spike will see SA, WA and Qld double down on that.

Only option is for all teams to hub in the one State and that ain’t happening

To be honest the state of Victoria really underestimated this virus opening up so quickly  and were warned were not over it yet Andrews should have told Gill under no circumstances , sport should be the last agenda in this country then peoples health and well being.

They could all just live on Hamilton island. Just kick Essendrug out of the comp for this season.

Is there an oval there?
The club that keeps giving.
