Tigers to leave star veteran in Queensland, will miss Port clashafl.com.au
7 August 2020RICHMOND will leave captain Trent Cotchin in Queensland for its trip to face Port Adelaide as the Tigers manage the veteran midfielder.
The 30-year-old, who has had a run of hamstring injuries over the past two season, is being managed through the AFL's fixture cram.
Cotchin returned from his latest soft-tissue concern to face the Western Bulldogs last Friday and followed up against the Lions on Tuesday, but will sit out the clash with the ladder-leaders.
"He won't go [to Adelaide]. He's probably the one player that we have put a bit of a plan in place in regards to his injury history with regard to his hamstring," coach Damien Hardwick said.
"He won't board the plane but he will obviously be right for nine or 10 days later."
