Although he wasnt  whacked across the face, ears I certainly thought Floss cooped it on and slightly above the shoulder, that's 50 metres. For anyone suggesting he milked it hasn't copped an unexpected hit to that area, in can stun you

As for the upcoming media lynching of Tom Lynch started by Jon Ralph.

I would hope that Hurley gets cited as well for trying to hit a blokes injured hand 50 odd metres off the ball,  while not looking at the play only looking at the man he's was trying to hit.

It looks like a push to me with Hurley milk the severity of the contact. Will he also get cited for that?

Here's Ralph's tweet for those that didn't see it:

‘Surely enough for a week’: Tiger Tom Lynch under fire after ANOTHER whack

August 23, 2020
by David Zita
FOX SPORTS

Richmond forward Tom Lynch could potentially be looked at by the Match Review Officer for the second week running, after an off-the-ball hit on Essendon defender Michael Hurley.

During the fourth quarter, Hurley was jostling with Lynch, before the Tigers star lashed out with a hand to the neck of the Bombers defender, who immediately remonstrated to umpires.

Play continued on, but the incident drew attention from onlookers.

Lynch whacks Mick Hurley in the neck which is officially high contact. Hard enough to be a week. Hurley looks to be whacking his hand or trying to break his hold but it’s surely enough force for a week this time. pic.twitter.com/ICj8VvlxWl

A finding of careless conduct, low impact and high contact would result in a fine, which would be the third in two weeks for Lynch.

The 27-year-old forward drew scrutiny throughout the week after an off-the-ball hit on Gold Coast defender Sam Collins.

Lynch burst out of the blocks to start the game against Essendon before finishing with two goals and two behinds.

Dimma backs aggressive Lynch despite another potential MRO incident

By Callum Twomey

RICHMOND has urged Tom Lynch to continue his aggressive approach despite the key forward again likely to find himself under scrutiny from the Match Review Officer for a clash with Essendon's Michael Hurley.

Lynch was fined for two separate incidents in Monday night's clash with Gold Coast, and will be assessed again for his shove to Hurley in the last quarter of Richmond's 12-point win in the Dreamtime in Darwin contest on Saturday night.

The pair were grappling as Lynch initiated a lead but he made contact with his arm to Hurley's throat in a bid to push away from the Bombers defender.

Coach Damien Hardwick vigorously defended Lynch's physicality this week and said he wouldn't be advising caution to the key forward.

"I haven't seen it and at the end of the day, Tom plays. He plays like that. He's a hard, tough player and you saw the courage of him coming out and leading out to that ball late and the collision with [Adam] Saad. [He's a] pretty tough guy," the two-time premiership coach said post-game.

"I've been around footy a long time and I've been very fortunate enough to be at some really good organisations.

"All the good ones run the line all the time. They generally give away the most free kicks and they generally have the most reports, that's why they're a good side."

Lynch kicked two goals against Essendon in the Tigers' hard-fought win in the centerpiece of the AFL's Sir Doug Nicholls Round.

Interesting that they just happened to have a camera trained on Lynch when the play was in the opposite pocket..... :shh

They might as well have next games Lynch headline ready against Barrass or McGovern.

Copy paste, rinse, repeat.  :rollin

Tom Browne said it's a cumulative charge. All 4 incidents - Witherden, Collins, Witts & Hurley - will be (re-)looked at to judge Lynch's record.

So the league is saying it’s own MR system is flawed, didn’t know there were carry over points.

Secondly, how can you be fined for staging when you actually get pushed in the back or whacked in the chops. Staging is only staging when the event doesn’t occur.
