West Coast have won 8 in a row and are coming off a four day break.

And are relocating to Queensland, so must travel and settle in as well.

I think they are due for a loss.
Yeah we're already going to vote for him mate, you don't need to keep selling it.....

Suggestions on Twitter that Nic Nat, maybe rested due to the flight and short turn around  :huh3

Not bombing it long into their forward line would be a good start. They have better intercept marking defenders than most and we’ve been keeping teams in it far too long into a match because of it.

Yep that will be the key as McGovern will have a field day.Agree had alot of dominance and no scoreboard pressure.

If we play like we did last Saturday night McGovern will break the AFL record for intercepts... :shh

Ross Lyon & Matthew Lloyd's preview:

Chaos, run & get it forward footy vs measured short kick & mark maintaining possession footy.

RANKINGS RICH WCE
Play-ons #3 #14
run & bounce #2 #10
kick to hball #12 #2
inside 50s #3 #13
scoring per in50 #8 #3

Richmond are going inside 50 far more but are finding it harder to score. The Eagles are efficient and make the most of their fewer chances.

NicNat #1 in hitouts to advantage, clearances, scores from clearances. Nank brought in to bash & crash.

McGovern #1 & Barrass #5 in intercept marks over recent years. Lloyd said you need to play McGovern the way the Swans did with Buddy. Buddy would lead up from the goalsquare to 40 out. McGovern would stay back waiting for the long deep kick and the Swans mids lowered their eyes to Buddy. Made a fool of McGovern.

Richmond $1.77
Weagles  $2.05

Both Lyon & Lloyd tipping us to win.

I find it hard to believe we are only 8th from scoring per in50. Surely we are rock bottom for goals per in50 then?

Dees, Pies & Dogs with no star key forwards would be worse. That's leaving out the bottom six sides.

Our poor efficiency inside F50 hasn't been in every game. We smashed the Dogs while the loss to Port was due to our poor mids with our efficency actually keeping us in the game on the scoreboard. The problem has occurred more against bottom sides who flood back and park the bus such as the Swans, Suns and Dons.

It will be interesting if we see the same problem against a fellow top side that will be coming at us. The issue for me tonight is the midfield battle.    If we can nullify NicNat and match them in clearances then we'll be okay as the Eagles won't flood to save face; if not then it will be a repeat of the Port game :help.
