Who are our 3 key players for this year's finals?
Liam Pickering on the Oval Office last night said it's Riewoldt, Dusty & Grimes.
Reiwoldt?
Playing like he’s retired already. All the things he usually has done with his ability to be two seconds ahead of the play have been infected by old age and he’s now two seconds or more behind the play. Instead of the deft toe tap forward into space for his crumbers to run onto he actually just misses the ball now altogether. Granted if he can capture any of his skill and regain some adroitness back then he may well be the difference for us. Currently though he can’t leap more than 2 inches and his timing is way off not to mention the ubiquitous fumbling.
Dusty goes without saying is the match winner all that he brings goes without saying. We are a system based team and we can’t rely on any one person to be a threat.
Grimes - a rock in defence we need him more than anyone.
Prestia - it’s a long shot this year but his bullocking work in the guts and gut running around the ground has been pivotal to our successes.
Lynch - with Father Time catching up with Jack, he must propel himself to greatness and demand respect leading and crashing packs hurting defenders along the way that over the top crap isn’t going to cut it because it doesn’t work most times.
Lambert - the team barometer if he is firing it means we are normally playing the Richmond way
Cotchin is the key for us in finals. The one act plays that propel the team to belief and success especially when we are seemingly down and out.
