Two forced outs in Lynch & Soldo.

Dimma said Astbury & Edwards will be back.

Thought Markov was ok so tough call.
Out Soldo, Lynch, Aarts
In.  Chol, Edwards, Astbur
Chol forward, Nank main ruck with a slight chop out

Thought markov was good but like I’ve said before were only ever going to play 7 defenders. It’s why broad hasn’t been getting a game. If astbury comes back you need to drop or reposition one of grimes, balta, vlas, Houli, baker or short which won’t happen.

Dimma said Astbury and Edwards will play next week. Seems Chol will too. Caddy and Broad are also available.

How bad is Lynch ?
Dimma said he'll have scans Monday to find out the severity of the hammy. Tom Browne said 2-3 weeks but they/we are hoping [fingers crossed/touchwood] it is similar to Grimes and Lynch will be okay for our first final. Fortunately, there's a pre-finals bye.

And Soldo.
Suspected ACL (See Soldo thread).

Pickett was very good tonight and has been for the past 6 weeks. Apart from his tendency to bump instead of tackle, think he did everything the coaches asked of him and more.

I liked his game, but are you going to keep him in the side ahead of Prestia later? Who would you drop? Same with Aarts. Gives 100%, tackles hard etc but you have to wonder if he's best 22 when the list is healthy.

Pickett a solid contributor. Didn't even mind his attempted bump. His disposal by foot a couple of times tonight was poor and costly.

If astbury comes in there’s no way markov stays in. A defender has to replace a defender. I think Edwards replaces ross, chol replaces soldo and caddy comes in for lynch.

You’re right though when Prestia comes in, it will be very tough to pick who comes out but I doubt it’ll be Pickett.

I've really liked Markov across HB. Great run.

Pickett - I am a fan. Honestly when I see he's only had 10 touches I am surprised. He does a lot off the ball I reckon.

Ins: Chol, Caddy, Shed, Astbury
Outs: Lynch, Soldo, Markov, Ross

Shed and astbury  need the game time for sure.
However our back 6 is so settled and so strong Im not sure how astbury fits in. He will have to take Baltas role as astbury cant play any other role really.
Where does that leave Balta. Do we throw him forward or into the ruck after the season he has had in the backline.. I dont think so, but it could work. Hes such a wild card.

Not sure the coaching staff trusts balta in a more attacking role in defence just yet.

INS: Edwards, Caddy, RCD

OUTS: Lynch, Soldo, Aarts

Think we will revert to only 1 ruckman

Aarts out maybe harsh but I thought he was average last night. Panicked alot

Back 6 is too settled so I'm not sold on Astbury coming back in.

Why play a potentially underdone Astbury when our back six looks solid and Balta has been a revelation?

Is Astbury that important that you’d risk throwing everything out of balance?

Not for me.
