Neale has had an awesome season. Do I think he is an absolute game changer in clinch moments? Absolutely not. But he had been very consistent this season. Definitely a more worthy winner than Cooney or woewoedin

RICHMOND

Several Tigers have put together breakout seasons in 2020, but it is still all about Dustin Martin when it comes to the Brownlow. Started the year slowly but gathered steam in the middle part of the year. Won’t win it, but will lead vote-getters for the Tigers. Elsewhere, it has been a ripping season for Shai Bolton and that sees him a good chance of coming in behind Martin. A race between he and skipper Trent Cotchin, with injury hampering his efforts this year.

Best chance to win: Dustin Martin ($34)

Most votes on team (without Martin): Shai Bolton $2.35, Trent Cotchin $2.65, Kane Lambert $4.50, Jayden Short $7

Our tip: Trent Cotchin

On tonight.

Richmond - Brownlow predictions

Best chance: Dustin Martin
It's likely to be another year where the 2017 winner features prominently on Brownlow night. Despite not being expected to poll his first three-vote game until round nine, Martin is tipped to finish with a bang and is predicted to poll in seven games with three best on grounds. It could be enough to see him earn another top-five finish. Expect to see maximum votes against the Western Bulldogs, where Martin finished with 26 disposals and three goals.

One-vote wonder: Derek Eggmolesse-Smith (v North Melbourne, round seven)
Could we see an unlikely vote for the Richmond rookie? Eggmolesse-Smith won 23 disposals and took six marks in a round seven victory over North Melbourne. Shai Bolton and Dylan Grimes will be his biggest rivals for votes on the night.

Brownlow Predictor top three
15 Dustin Martin
11 Shai Bolton
7 Trent Cotchin

Sportsbet top three (without Martin)
$2.40 Shai Bolton
$2.60 Trent Cotchin
$5 Kane Lambert

Have to say I have absolutely no interest in it this year

Same
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.
