« on: November 18, 2020, 07:12:28 PM »
The Club is organising a 'virtual' photo with the 2020 premiership cup for members/supporters on their smartphones.

They showed an example of it with Gale and Cotch on 7news tonight:

Tigers launch virtual premiership cup tour

The entire Tiger Army will have the chance to lift the premiership cup this year, no matter where they are around the world.

Richmond members and fans will be able to take photos with the cup, place it in front of their favourite landmarks, on objects, or even with their pets using innovative augmented reality technology through Instagram.

The lifelike, easily accessible filter is available now and ready to be shared by Tiger fans with their friends and family.

“I think we can all agree that 2020 has been a year like no other, but I am thrilled that we have still been able to find a way for our fans to celebrate and share in our collective success,” said Richmond CEO Brendon Gale.

“With travel and events in general not possible around the country, we have again had to adapt in the way we do things. We cannot wait to see the different places the cup pops up and hope fans take great pride in sharing photos with their friends through social media.

“The support of the Tiger Army and the way we have been able to connect and stay united throughout 2020 has been remarkable, and when possible, we look forward to being able to celebrate our triumph together as one.”

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions and subsequent challenges and potential risks to the health and safety of fans, the Club will embrace the virtual premiership tour instead of the national roadshows seen in 2017 and 2019.

Richmond will unfurl its 2020 premiership flag, along with the long-awaited 2019 flag at the Club’s first home game next year.
