Interestingly, the average age of the top three in that category exceeds that of 2020's oldest team, Collingwood.

The Cats have nine players currently aged 30 and over, with 12 players having played 170 games or more, including big-name recruits Shaun Higgins (237), Isaac Smith and Jeremy Cameron.

Next is Port Adelaide with eight players aged 30+ followed by Collingwood with seven.

Richmond has five.

Average age of the premiership side was 27y 43d.

Also this yr there will be another three players turning 30 Lambert nov, Martin jun, Grimes jul.
That sort of shows just how spurious age stats can be.

We will play around 30 odd players this yr perhaps it should be taken from that number. Very few juniors at most clubs will play many games and imo should be left out of the discussion when talking about  a teams chances for the season.

We also have another 4 players who enter the veteran stage at 29yrs in Pickett jan, Caddy sept, Lynch oct, Prestia oct.

Lastly dont know where the 170 games bit comes from why not just make it 150 plus games.

We have 10 players with 160 plus games  and another three with 100 plus games.

Age without context such a dumb thing to be judging clubs on.
