Narkle omitted again by Geelong.

Probably worried he'll stuff up the audition.... :shh

He [Cerra]'s told Carlton he's not interested. It's us [Richmond] or stay at Freo.

Caddy is off to North or wants to get to North. Knows he isn’t a wingman.

“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Cerra - 26 disposals & 2 goals. Mind you had a couple of turnovers too.

David King reckons he's leaving the Dockers.

Fremantle are reportedly keen to lure Sam Petrevski-Seton back to his home state of Western Australia, according to The Herald Sun.

The report states that it’s possible Petrevski-Seton could be included in potential talks for Docker Adam Cerra – who along with Bulldog Patrick Lipinski – was believed to have been part of Carlton’s list management discussions late this week.

Carlton’s pursuit of Adam Cerra has hit a snag as the midfielder looks for a path out of Fremantle.

Cerra has let dust gather on the Dockers’ four-year offer worth up to $750,000 a season. He is keen on a return home to Victoria where the Blues, Richmond and Hawthorn have emerged as the likely options.

Essendon is not in the frame.

It’s understood money is the main sticking point for the Blues, who have recently re-signed Patrick Cripps and Harry McKay to lucrative deals and have emerging superstar Sam Walsh to re-sign before the end of next season.

While some claim a Cerra move to the Blues is now off, people at Carlton believe the flame is still flickering.

As things stand, Carlton hold pick 6 in the national draft, with their next selection not coming until 25.

Cerra, 21, would command at least a first-round pick given Fremantle took him at No.5 in the 2017 national draft. He finished third in the Dockers’ best and fairest last year.

While it is a heavy draft price to pay after giving up their first-round selection for Adam Saad last year, a need to balance the salary cap is the primary obstacle for Carlton in the Cerra negotiations.

Out-of-contract Geelong midfielder Charlie Constable is certain to depart the club at the end of 2021 if a rival suitor emerges, according to SEN Chief Sports Reporter Sam Edmund.

Forget Cerra if he's just after money.
Go all in on Tom Green 🍏.

Asked how many clubs had inquired about Narkle, his manager Ralph Carr said: “Around five clubs … all have been very professional and respectful.”

Carr said he had spoken to Narkle about the interest from rival clubs “in passing”, but he stressed no decision would be made on his future until the end of the season.

“The main focus is playing well for Geelong and helping Geelong to win a premiership,” Carr said.

“Geelong have been fantastic in terms of working together to get the most important result — Quinton playing great footy.

“Andrew Mackie and Shaun Grigg have been great (for him).”

Narkle has played 13 games for the Cats this year — for a total of 30 career games since his 2018 debut — but Geelong’s great strength has meant he has sometimes been overlooked at selection, to the surprise of many.

Asked what sort of asset Narkle would be to another club, Carr said: “If he moved … yes, it’s hard to get inside mids that can go forward as well and kick goals.

“He has the ability to find the ball and he will only get better. I am a huge fan of Quinton’s.”

DOCKERS ‘POSITIVE’ YOUNG GUN WILL STAY

Fremantle is confident that out-of-contract young gun Adam Cerra will re-sign with the club.

The Dockers have reportedly put a four-year deal worth around $750,000 to the 21-year old as Victorian rivals circle looking to lure him home.

Speaking on Triple M Perth’s Rush Hour WA, Fremantle football boss Peter Bell was “really positive” Cerra would remain at the helm.

“I’m sure there’s a lot of people – ourselves included – we’d love to hear Adam’s decision, but he’s taking his time with that,” Bell said.

“What we see is a really invested player in our program. He’s driving to help us perform each week.

“I’m really positive that Adam will continue with us, but we want to respect his space to be able to make that decision.”

Asked if he’s had direct conversations with Cerra about his plans, Bell said: “Through his management, he’s still making his decision. He hasn’t said he’s leaving, he hasn’t said he’s staying, he’s making his decision.”

Brad Johnson says Hawthorn should be open to any rival club trade offers that could come for Luke Breust and Jack Gunston as the club enters a new era.

Bruest still looks the goods.

Is Gunston going to get on the park soon?
