Rankine out of favour at our youth development team.  :shh

I reckon we get him over to punt rd and see him flourish in our environment.  :rollin

We need midfield depth
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

No trades this year. That would be silly with this draft hand.

On Big Footy, they were talking Cerra, What do you guys think?
Personally I don't think he's worth a first and the cap space would be too much.

Might depend on retirements...

If there are free agents on the table that can improve us then make a play for them. Otherwise hit the draft hard! Need a couple of midfield jets with our first picks and then the best key position forward and defender at our next 2.

Green if he requests a trade (unlikely this year)the only player I'd chuck high picks at :shh

Narkle no more than third if helps keep Bolton, no point otherwise, if Bolton leaves then we ask for Cerra I guess but would prefer the picks tbh...though wouldn't mind if they chucked in Griffin Logue...more likely we'd ask for Tucker from what's been said in the past ....presuming Freo is where Bolton is headed ofc.... :shh

Wouldn't object to Dunstan FA if cheap.... :shh

Breust at minmum cost (upgrade on Aabbot & Castello for a year or two while MRJ develops).... :shh

Only other trades should be for more picks and higher picks.... :shh

NO to junk like Will Brodie.....rather just rookie Freeman..... :shh

Richmond's season might be shot but there were signs today the Tiger era might not be over just yet - and one of them was playing for the opposition.

Of course it's all very well to hit the draft but will Hardwick actually play the new kids given he's generally loath to play the current crop and has been mostly reluctant over his tenure to play youngsters unless forced to by injuries....can just see him persisting with the likes of  Parker & Aarts or some mature aged late/rookie pick like say,  Freeman (or Brodie  :help) getting games ahead of the kid we take with pick 8 or wherever.. :shh

Tom Morris thinks both Andrew Gaff and Elliot Yeo should be put on the trade table.

“They’ve got to make some tough calls at the end of the year. I’d be going to Andrew Gaff and saying: ‘Do you want to go back to Victoria? We can get something for you now,’” he said.

“He’s contracted until the end of 2024 which makes it hard, but these are the tough calls you need to make if you’re going to rebound and actually get some young talent in.

“Elliot Yeo – he’s contracted for another two years – what can you get for him? Surely no one’s off the table if you’re having a rebuild?”

----------------------------------------------------

Kane Cornes said there’s a salary cap “squeeze” at the Cats and that he’s interested to see how Cameron Guthrie’s situation plays out.

“Unrestricted free agent, so let’s watch this with real interest.

Hmmm Guthrie UFA....Geelong flog or not...I'd do it if we had the space...their best mid IMO...(yes I include Dangerflop, Duckwood & Duncan in that) :shh

EDIT: Didn't realise he was nearly 30......thought he was about 27....

Our future first for Green.
2nd rounder to Dogs for their future first.
Cerra for Cats first and player.
2nd and 3rd for Dogs first this year.

Green, Cerra, two firsts this year and a third.
Still have a first next year.

And you may not think I care for you
When you know down inside that I really do

Can you come up with an option that does not include Cerra?
