Bulldog Patrick Lipinski requests trade, set for Pies move.

The Bulldogs and Magpies have both offered Lipinski a three-year contract but he is seeking more senior opportunity in black and white.

Collingwood has picks 36, 39, 41 and 45 but needs to add selections in order to match a bid for father-son gun Nick Daicos at the draft; giving them up for Lipinski will make that even more difficult.

"I reckon we'll take a minimum of three. We'll probably look to push some picks into the future years."

Reckon those picks 19 and 22 are gettable for CCJ - if GC are keen
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

- Fremantle and Geelong face a period of negotiation to reach an agreement on Jordan Clark's move west, with the Dockers expected to baulk at any request for a first-round pick in exchange for the contracted speedster. The Cats believe Clark is worth a pick between Fremantle's current No.8 selection and their No.27 pick, having used pick No.15 in the 2018 NAB AFL Draft to recruit the 20-year-old. The Dockers, however, are understood to view their pick No.27 as a fair price to pay for a player who featured eight times in 2021 and was an unused medical substitute on a further three occasions.

- Gold Coast has revealed that midfielder Will Brodie has told the club he is open to exploring his options during this year's trade period, while Darcy Macpherson could also be looking to move.

- Geelong midfielder Charlie Constable could still return to GMHBA Stadium in 2022, but is open to opportunities elsewhere. The big-bodied onballer has "moderate" interest from rival clubs.

#WHISPERS EXCLUSIVE

#TheWhisp can exclusively confirm that BEN KING has been having in depth, secret discussions about a trade to ESSENDON.

The young gun is said to be hell bent on a trade to the Bombers, citing their style of play and list build.

Trade Blowtorch ranked 1-18: AFL clubs under the most pressure to make wise calls this October

Max Laughton and Ben Waterworth

9. RICHMOND

It’s not so much pressure as intrigue with the Tigers, who have the AFL’s largest draft hand and multiple players heading out the door.

With four picks in the top 28, they’ve got so many options; consolidate multiple picks into one higher up the order (like Gold Coast’s pick 3), or even trade for a ready-made player who can help them bounce back into flag contention in 2022. They’d be a perfect trade partner for Hawthorn if Sam Mitchell’s side was willing to send out a veteran or two.

They need to get a trade sorted for Callum Coleman-Jones, who’s heading to North Melbourne; they’ll also need to work out how best to acquire Robbie Tarrant from the Roos. If he comes via free agency, it could impact the draft compensation the Tigers receive when Mabior Chol signs at Gold Coast.

Again, it’s all about options. How hard do the Tigers go to ensure 2021 was a blip on the radar, and not a sign their era is over?

TRADE speculation continues to surround Rory Lobb, who remains open to a move away from Freo. Two years remaining on a contract worth around $700k a year makes it tough, but if you could move to a contender like Richmond, would you be willing to take less? I think you would.
