ANOTHER VIC CLUB INTERESTED IN CERRASenior foxfooty.com.au reporter Tom Morris last month revealed the Dockers had offered Cerra a four-year deal worth around $750,000 per season. Club football boss Peter Bell last week confirmed Cerra has had that deal in front of him “for a while”.
It’s understood Cerra’s decision is about location, rather than money, as there’s a big lure from loved ones to return to Victoria.
Essendon and, in particular, Carlton have been linked to Cerra in recent weeks.
But on Wednesday night, Browne reported another big Victorian club was keen on the midfielder.
“Adam Cerra is leaning towards leaving at the end of the year,” Browne wrote on Twitter.
“Richmond is one of a number of clubs interested in the Docker.”
It comes after Morris reported on foxfooty.com.au on Monday night that Hawthorn star Tom Mitchell was open to being traded to another Victorian club at the end of the season under the right circumstances and would be receptive to a move to Richmond.
Cerra has had an excellent 2021 campaign to date, averaging 24.23 disposals, 8.1 contested possessions and 5.0 inside 50s from the eight full games he’s played.
