They were talking about Cerra tonight and Lloyd said instead of paying $750k if I were Richmond I'd be holding onto your picks and head to the draft to pick up the next Cerra that only costs you $80k.

Caro then jumped in and said Richmond needs Tom Green. McClure replied GWS won't want to give up Green. Caro then adds 'well he was dropped two weeks ago' and it would be romantic [if he arrived at Punt Rd].

All I know is that we have to get Green to ask for a trade and nominate us but then GWS have to agree. In saying that, works being done and we have a huge draw as he would love to play for us, its been a dream of his for a long time. We also have what GWS needs in surplus

If you are shaking one of the gws mids out it’s Taranto I know for a fact he wants to come home to Melbourne and we had been working with his camp about potentially coming to Richmond
This was about 12 months ago now so not sure if we are still in the race but a move to Victoria is definitely on the cards

I'd take both Taranto and Green.

They can have CCJ + Chol if they want and probably some picks to sweeten the deal because personally I don't think those two are worth much.

Speaking on ABC radio, Cerra said various factors would go into his decision.

“For me it’s a bit of everything,” Cerra told ABC Radio.

“Football is just my job at the end of the day. Obviously I love it and I dedicate my life to it but I’ve got a partner and my family and I’ve got to make sure we all feel really comfortable with where I am.

Cerra said he still had ample time to assess his options.

“Obviously, I have a decision to make at the end of the year and I’m sure the time will come when it’s right to sit down and discuss and we’ll sort those things out but at the moment, it’s not at the front of my mind,” he said.

“I’m just trying to enjoy my footy and push for finals this year.”

“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Yep.

Shame the AFL is still so backwards about trades.

It's business, it's life, it's income etc. Players and clubs need to be more open about it and stop it with the petty crap like Crows telling Lever not to come to the B&F etc haha.

Chol is an unrestricted free agent - if he goes to GC it wont be part of any trade deal.

A caller into SEN this morning: "Narkle to Richmond - take it to the bank".

The guys on SEN then added that Narkle is best mates with Bolton.
