I trust the club but wonder if we might regret the club chasing him a bit harder?
Time will tell I suppose!!

Sam Edmund:

"Carlton still haven't spoken with Adam Cerra, which might be extraordinary for some to hear.

"What's become clear is that he's run out of options. It's the Blues or bust. Other clubs that are interested don't have the draft capital."

Cerra: Carlton the only real option given Richmond happy to go to the draft.

Bulldogs have tabled a three-year contract offer to Patrick Lipinski as the young midfielder weighs interest from Carlton and Collingwood. Sydney has also shown interest.

Sam Edmund says that he believes Richmond don't want to use their pick 7 so that's why they're not interested.

That is exactly what I have heard. Lazy pretend jurnos because of that have said we have gone cold. rubbish. There is a trade period for a reason. If we can satisfy freo while keeping pick 7 I think we can do a deal. Lot still to play out imo

Balmey said he spoke to Blair Hartley yesterday and we're happy to go to the draft with six picks inside the top 45 as although these kids won't do much for us next year it will be handy to have them as our older champs retire over the next 2-3 years.

Balmey added the caveat that if a situation arises where someone who we really like becomes available then we'll also be happy to bundle up a few of those picks together to get a deal done.

Let's just go to the draft, I am excited to see who we can get in the top 40.
Draft & develop, the alternative just costs too much in financials & draft picks.
Top up with free agents for depth and Tahlia & Wallis would be 2 I would look at.

A lot of tier 4️⃣ areas about this one:

JACOB HOPPER is "gettable". Both the Tigers and Hawks interested.

Source tier = 4️⃣

I'm still extremely skeptical Hopper is even on the table but if  it is true and we go off the Treloar trade last year then if it's a salary dump we might be able to get him for slight unders - Dogs gave up pick 14 and a future second but also got picks 26, 33 & 42 back...not sure if GWS would be quite that desperate though...plus Treloar was 4 years older than Hopper is and had/has a history of injuries... :shh
