SUNS TARGETING KEY TIGERS DUOThe Gold Coast Suns are keen on poaching both Callum Coleman-Jones and Mabior Chol from Richmond in the upcoming trade period.
Coleman-Jones and Chol loom as key signings for Richmond, but both remain uncontracted for 2022 despite impressive showings in the senior side this year.
Speaking to Fox Sports News reporter Sarah Olle, foxfooty.com.au senior reporter Tom Morris said the key position pair were on the radar for the Suns.
“Make no mistake, Gold Coast would be prepared to offer multi-year deals for Callum Coleman-Jones and Mabior Chol, he said on AFL Tonight.
“They‘re desperate for a key forward to partner Ben King, who we know is out of contract at the end of next year.
“Chol is a free agent and as a result he can pick where he wants to go. There’ll be a deal on the table for him at the Tigers but he’s likely to get more years elsewhere.
Coleman-Jones is out of contract too - Richmond, if they had to pick one, they wouldn’t say it publicly, would prefer to keep Coleman-Jones over Chol, even though they’d probably like to keep both.
“Gold Coast is in for both.”
